Calvin J. Candie (died 1858) was a plantation and slave owner who owned Django Freeman's wife, Broomhilda Von Shaft. He was killed by King Schultz, who was killed soon after by Candie's henchman, Butch.
Meeting Django and ShultzEdit
Candie was shot through flower on his suit and through the heart, being killed by Shultz after insisting that he shake his hand to seal the deal on Broomhilda's freedom. Shultz, angered by Candie's racism and brutal treatment of his slaves, couldn't resist killing him and apologized to Django before Butch shot him in return, killing him as well.
After Candie's funeral, his loved ones returned to his estate, where Django was waiting for them. Django shot and killed them all, except Stephen, who he shot in the leg and left in the house, lighting dynamite before leaving. The explosives detonated, destroying the house and killing Stephen. Django rode off into the distance with Broohmilda.
